Great Brotherhood of Cassoulet of Castelnaudary
History
The Grande Confrérie du Cassoulet de Castelnaudary was founded January 17, 1970 by the election of the Grand Council and Master Jean Estève, assisted by André Matet. The first Grand Chapter was celebrated on April 18, 1970 in the municipal council chamber of Castelnaudary. The members appeared for the first time dressed in their brown dresses, wearing a cassole-shaped hat and decorated with a medal, worn in jumper, representing in part the arms of the city of Castelnaudary, the Moulin de Cugarel and a cassole licked by the flames.
